SO WHAT:
Mars 2020 design
and development teams have access to a cohesive UI style guide.
OVERVIEW:
Quarks is the official Mars 2020 user interface style guide and tool kits.
The mission’s operational functionality depends on efficient ground software
and consistent visual communication. To ensure visual consistency across all operational tools, I helped design the first consolidated style guide of
user interface components and behaviors.
MY ROLE:
Defined visual elements:
I generated a catalog of traditional user interface components with the addition of Mars specific user interface components. Designs of the Mars 2020 UI style are minimal and monochromatic.
Collaborated with the development team implementing the online style guide portal: I worked closely with the development team. I provided documentation and presentations of the UI behaviors
Maintained relationship with users of the style guide: As more developers and designers began utilizing the style guide, I stayed in touch with new users to ensure the style guide evolved through their feedback.
